One of my many coaches I have hired in my life, once told me, “In order to lead others, you must first be able to lead yourself. If you can’t lead yourself, how do you expect to lead anybody else?”
Therefore, I am fascinated with the root causes of human behavior and the results behind high-performance human “beings”.
I don't claim to have all the answers and I still have a lot to learn, but I take great joy in sharing what I've learned along the way of living my life.
Great, I am thrilled you are still interested in learning more about me.
I find these “about me” pages on websites super funny because most often they are written in the third person … which seems like a lie to me.
These sections are generally written to make ourselves seem better and much smarter than we actually are.
I am not some perfect person.
I am not that smart either.
I make mistakes all the time.
I am learning every day.
I am not as fit as I would like to be.
I am working very hard to eat better and become more fit.
So, how about we just be real and raw with each other!
How about we be genuine and honest and not attempt to look too smart, have it all together or attempt to be better than one another.
I know it sounds completely nuts, right?
I mean really … Be honest, Be truthful, Be raw, Be open, and Be vulnerable??
What I really mean here is, let’s be human and not some impostor.
I am a human and this is who I AM …
So, what do you want to know about me?
I am 43 years old, white male with brown eyes and brown hair, I live on Lake Coeur d’ Alene Idaho with my loving wife of 23+ years, Dani.
We have two awesome children, two dogs, both labs, one black, and one yellow.
Hmmm … I’m guessing that’s not the kind of useless information you’re looking for.
Am I on point?
Maybe you’re probably thinking to yourself, is Jim even worth my time and energy to get to know?
I assume you are here on my site to do a little due diligence right?
To simply check me out ...
OK, so the answer is maybe.
So, I had a thought a very simple thought.
Could you please help me out with this one…?
What do you want to know about me?
Really, you want to DO some homework, so DO it!
Push me to open up and to be honest.
I am cool with it. I want to be honest with you.
I really mean it, anything you want to ask me, anything you want to know about me, just ask me.
Get as personal as you need, I am cool with it.
Have you seen me online or at an event or have you heard me say something that has intrigued you, but maybe I didn’t go into as much detail as you had wished?
Maybe it’s about what drives me personally to be so curious as to why winning the days of lives matter so much to me?
Or maybe it is why I do what I do? I don’t know.
Or maybe you want some proof or some evidence on something I DO to convince yourself of something for yourself?
I don’t know.
Anyway, come on, just do it, whatever you want to know about me, about what I believe, what I stand for—just ask—I’ll answer it.
Just be careful not to ask something for which you don’t want the honest answer. (smirking)
If you ask, I will give you my honest opinion. My filter can feel a little too RAW sometimes!
The Truth is what I’m about. I respect the Truth! I love the Truth. Even when the Truth may hurt.
I am also about RESULTS in life, NOT reasons, false stories, and beliefs.
I believe the Truth needs no friends, it stands on its own. The Truth is the Truth!
I don’t run from the Truth, I am not perfect, and I don’t pretend to be perfect, nor do I pretend to have all the answers or know much about anything.
You bet, I have made plenty of mistakes in my life and I have learned a ton as a result and will continue to do so on a daily basis.
I have also had many life experiences and have had a ton of success too.
Life for me is all about progress, not perfection!
